Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 25, 2026
Millenica LLC ("we", "our", or "us"), the developer of SpamJam, is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information SpamJam collects, how it is used, and your rights.
1. Message Filtering Stays on Your Device
SpamJam classifies incoming SMS messages entirely on your device using a local machine learning model. The content of incoming messages is not transmitted to our servers or any third party as part of the filtering process. The only time message content reaches us is if you voluntarily submit a misclassification report (see Section 2).
2. Information We Collect
We collect a limited amount of information to operate the service:
- Subscription state: Purchases are processed by Apple. We receive subscription event notifications and opaque transaction identifiers from Apple's App Store servers, which we use to determine whether your subscription is currently active. We do not receive your payment details, Apple ID, or name.
- Push notification tokens: To keep filtering active when your subscription renews — including when you have not recently opened the app — your device's anonymous push notification token is stored alongside an opaque subscription identifier. These tokens are used solely to deliver silent subscription-state updates to your device. They cannot be used to identify you, see your messages, or send you visible notifications.
- Misclassification reports (optional): If you choose to submit a report through the "Report a Message" feature, the message content you select, the classification label, and an optional note are sent to our servers. This data is used solely to improve the spam filter model. Reports may contain personal information that you choose to include — we recommend redacting anything sensitive before sending. Submission is always voluntary.
- Standard request metadata: Like most internet services, our hosting provider automatically logs basic request information (such as IP addresses, timestamps, and user agent strings) for security, abuse prevention, and reliability purposes.
3. How We Use Information
- To provide and maintain the SpamJam service
- To verify your subscription and keep filtering active across renewals
- To improve the accuracy of our spam detection model (using only voluntarily submitted reports)
- To investigate abuse or technical issues affecting the service
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your information with advertisers, marketers, or data brokers. We use the following service providers, who process data strictly on our behalf to operate the service:
- Apple — handles App Store purchases, subscription management, and push notification delivery, under their Privacy Policy.
- Cloudflare — provides our hosting, content delivery, and request processing infrastructure, under their Privacy Policy.
5. Data Retention
- Voluntarily submitted misclassification reports: up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Push notification tokens and subscription identifiers: retained while your account remains active. Removed when you uninstall the app or after a prolonged period of inactivity.
- Standard server logs: retained by our hosting provider per their policies, typically a short rolling window.
6. Children's Privacy
SpamJam is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Your Choices
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through the App Store. Uninstalling SpamJam removes the app and stops further data collection from your device. To request deletion of any voluntarily submitted reports, contact us at the address below.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy at this URL with a new "Last updated" date.
